Drawing In Space
For this project my goal was to construct a high heel shoe. I wanted it to be bigger than an actual size to resemble a sculpture rather than actual shoe. I also wanted to design it in a way that gave it a unique style.
At first I struggled on the process of melting the steel to mold the shoe. It was difficult at times when pieces didn't come together as expected or when the brass did not melt properly to the steel and wasn't cohesive enough. However, things got better with time. It was fairly easy to bend the steel into the shapes I desired to emulate a shoe. I had to make a few adjustments to my design so the shoe could be constructed properly. This caused me to change my design of having a four sided heel to a heel with three sides. All in all, I am satisfied with my end product.
