For my project I wanted the theme to be time. Time is a complex structure that I have been trying to grasp a hold of for a while now. To represent time I modeled my project after an hourglass because I admire the shape of the object and it is one of the first objects created to measure time. For my final design I took an abstract approach to the design to show that time is not always how it appears it can be an illusion and can be perceived differently by others which is why depending on what angle you view it from it appears differently.
I like how the final design fits my concept so well but I know it could be better if some of the construction was needed but albeit in the process I was indeed running out of time. Also, the pole was a last minute decision so the structure could stand more upright. However, I like that there is one pole opposed to the typical 2 or 4 you would see to construct an hourglass because it makes it fit the abstract style.
